Lakeshore Creations -
established in 2015 by Lori Desy and Jill Fitzer
“We are friends… and sisters… different flowers from the same garden.”
Lori and Jill grew up in the Nicola Valley. The sisters began creating pebble art in 2015 for family and friends. Word quickly spread of their unique artwork and in 2016 they began attending craft fairs in and around the valley.
Every summer they would spend much of their time beach combing for materials to use for their creations. From the lakeshores in the Cariboo Region of B.C. to the rocky Eastern shores of Canada, they would find pebbles, sea glass, and driftwood to make their unique art. Friends and family also share their beach finds with them. Many happy dances on the shores have been known to happen when a special piece of sea glass or a heart-shaped pebble is found.
Together, Lori and Jill enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, beach combing, and spending time at Lori’s quaint cabin on Horsefly Lake in the Cariboo. Jill passed away in 2023, but her spirit continues to be in every piece that Lori creates, sisters forever.
