The Art Council has been one of the best places for me to get involved in local activities, better yet, these activities have included my hobbies and personal interests as well. In my time working with the art council, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and knowledgeable minds, as well as getting to try, and see things I hadn’t yet been introduced to.
I would personally like to thank everyone at the gallery, and in the art council for giving me such an amazing opportunity. I’ve done my fair share of small jobs and volunteering for the art council, and this has allowed me to grow my knowledge and experiences, as well as having fun trying new things. I have had so much fun being involved with the art council and it has been an amazing journey so far, everyone is so kind and welcoming, and you can tell everyone enjoys what they do, which only adds to how profound this adventure has been to me personally.
For youth and younger people, I find that the gallery has so much to offer, as well as many different resources at their disposal. Offering a safe and creative space for all is one of the things I first noticed when I got involved. The atmosphere is welcoming, featuring colourful displays, art, and just creative works all around to inspire those who see it.
I’ve always loved anything art involved, since I was young; be it painting, sketching, sculpting, or anything alike. To me it is a form of expression, a way to showcase the world of your imagination, your creativity. In some cases, people could even find comfort in the act of creation, making something personal to them, with meaning that only they can understand. Art has always been a passion of mine, and I hope I can continue to create artwork in the far future.
